What quarterly pest control actually gets you
Let's be honest about what you're buying. Quarterly pest control is not a magic force field. It's a barrier treatment around your home's exterior, refreshed every three months, plus interior treatment wherever something's active. Done right, it keeps the everyday Alabama pests (ants, roaches, spiders, wasps, earwigs, millipedes) from ever setting up shop inside.
The big companies sell the same basic thing. The difference with us is who shows up. You get a local technician who knows your house, a price you saw before you signed anything, and a guarantee that means we come back free if pests beat the barrier between visits. That last part matters more than the spray.

COVERED BY YOUR PLAN
What's covered
🐜
Ants
Odorous house ants, Argentine ants, carpenter ants. We track the trail to the colony instead of just spraying the counter, because spraying the counter is how you get five new trails.
🪳
Cockroaches
Smoky browns coming in from the trees and German roaches breeding in the kitchen are different problems. We treat both, and we'll tell you which one you have.
🕷️
Spiders
Web removal on every visit plus treatment of the corners, eaves, and garages they love. Brown recluse issues get their own targeted plan.
🐝
Wasps and Stinging Insects
Nests on eaves, porches, and play sets knocked down and treated before somebody finds them the hard way.
🦗
Occasional Invaders
Crickets, earwigs, millipedes, silverfish, centipedes. The stuff that shows up in the bathtub after a rain. Covered.
🐾
Fleas and Ticks
Included in our prevention treatments. Yard and perimeter coverage that protects the family members who can't complain about bites.
Termites, mosquitoes, fire ants, and rodents need their own programs. Mosquito, fire ant, and rodent control are separate Sipsey services. We don't offer termite control -- more on that in the FAQ below.
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps to a pest-free home
Free inspection
We check the foundation, eaves, garage, kitchen, baths, and attic access. You learn what's active and how it's getting in.
Initial knockdown
The first visit is the heavy one: interior treatment, exterior barrier, web and nest removal, entry point notes.
Quarterly barrier
Every three months we refresh the exterior barrier. Most visits don't even require you to be home.
Free re-treatments
Something shows up in month two? Call. We come back at no charge. That's the guarantee.

WHY SIPSEY
Why homeowners choose us
Same tech, every time
You'll learn his name. He'll learn your house. That continuity catches problems a rotating crew misses.
Honest about chemicals
We use EPA-registered products, applied to cracks, voids, and perimeters, not fogged over your countertops. Pets stay off treated spots until dry, usually under an hour.
Local pest knowledge
Alabama humidity grows bugs like it grows kudzu. We treat for what's here, not a national checklist.
A price before we start
Your quote is your price. The kitchen-table upsell is not our style.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about residential pest control?
Have a question that isn't here? Give us a call. We're happy to walk you through anything before you commit.
How much does residential pest control cost in Alabama? +
With Sipsey, quarterly service starts at $90 per quarter, and we confirm your exact price with a free on-site assessment of your property size and the coverage area it needs. For comparison, the big regional companies around Birmingham typically run $100 to $160 for the initial visit plus $30 to $50 a month after. Home size and the severity of the starting infestation move the number. And no, there's no separate initial-visit fee. $90 per quarter means $90 per quarter from day one.
Do you make me sign a long contract like Cook's or Terminix? +
No long contracts, period. Most national and regional companies require 12 to 15 month agreements. Our take: we should be continually earning your business. If the service is good, you'll stay without a contract making you.
Do you treat termites? +
No, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than dance around it. Termite control is a specialized service with its own licensing and bonding, and we don't offer it yet. If you have termites or need a termite bond, we're happy to point you to a reputable local company that does it well. For everything else that crawls into an Alabama house, we've got you.
What happens if I see bugs a month after treatment? +
You call us and we come back free. A few dying stragglers right after a treatment is normal (the products take time to work through a colony). Live, healthy activity weeks later is not, and re-treating it costs you nothing.
Is quarterly really enough in Alabama? +
For most homes, yes. Modern products are designed for 90-day exterior life. The honest exception: heavy German roach or flea situations need follow-ups every couple of weeks at first, and we'll tell you that upfront rather than let a quarterly visit fail slowly.
Do I need to leave the house during treatment? +
Usually no. Exterior treatments don't affect you at all. For interior work we just ask that kids and pets stay off treated areas until they're dry, about 30 to 60 minutes.
