Rodent Control in Alabama
Hearing scratching in the walls? Every fall, Alabama mice and rats move indoors. We remove them, seal the entry points, and verify the job is done.
Call today and we'll find a time that works for you.
Why traps alone never finish the job
A mouse needs a gap the size of a dime. A rat, a quarter. Your house has more of those than you think: gaps under garage doors, around AC lines, where siding meets brick, under deck stairs. Catch every rodent inside today and the entry points invite the next family in by Thanksgiving.
That's why our program is removal plus exclusion. We trap and remove what's living in your house, then we find and seal the holes they used, with materials they can't chew through. Then we keep monitors in place long enough to prove the activity stopped. Quietly throwing bait in an attic and billing monthly forever is the industry's favorite business model. It's not ours.
- Full inspection: attic, crawl space, garage, exterior perimeter
- Trapping program with check-ins on a schedule set for your situation, until activity stops
- Entry points sealed with steel mesh, sealant, and door sweeps, photographed before and after
- Basic cleanup help where the job allows, plus honest guidance on what's safe to DIY and what isn't
- Exterior bait stations for ongoing pressure, locked and labeled, quoted with the job
What we deal with
House Mice
The scratching-in-the-kitchen-wall classic. Fast breeders, so a "couple of mice" in October is a colony by January. Speed matters.
Roof Rats
Common across the wooded Birmingham suburbs. They travel power lines and branches, enter high, and live in attics. If the noise is overhead at night, this is usually it.
Norway Rats
Ground-level burrowers, more common around creeks, dumpsters, and chicken coops. Bigger, bolder, and harder on structures.
Exclusion Work
The part that makes it permanent. Steel mesh in weep holes, sealed utility penetrations, garage door sweeps. Documented with photos.
Attic and Crawl Space Checks
Where the evidence is. Droppings, runways, chewed wiring, displaced insulation. Free with inspection, eyes-on every time.
Damage Prevention
Rodents chew wiring and ductwork, and that's a fire risk, not a comfort issue. Early action is cheaper than an electrician. Much cheaper than the alternative.
How we do it
Remove. Seal. Verify. In that order.
Inspect
We find what species, where they're living, and every entry point. You get the full picture with photos.
Remove
Trapping placed on runways and checked on schedule. Done right, most homes clear in 1 to 3 weeks.
Seal
Every entry point closed with chew-proof materials. This is the step that makes the fix stick.
Verify
Monitors stay until there's zero new activity. We show you the evidence and call it done. Optional exterior stations after that for high-pressure properties.
Why Sipsey for rodents
We finish jobs
The goal is a cleared, sealed house, not an open-ended monthly bill. If you want ongoing exterior protection after, that's your call, and we'll tell you honestly whether your property needs it.
Photo documentation
Entry points before and after sealing. You see exactly what you paid for.
Honest about poison
Bait has its place (locked exterior stations), but bait-only indoor programs mean dead rodents in your walls. We lead with trapping indoors for exactly that reason.
We know the local pattern
Wooded lots in Vestavia, Mountain Brook, and Irondale get roof rats off the tree highways. Creekside homes get Norway rats. The plan fits the property.
What our customers say
5.0 stars across 30 Google reviews.
"Sipsey Pest Solutions has done a fabulous job of keeping our home safe from insects. The thorough monthly service has taken care of any issues. When we had an unusual situation (wasps in a wreath on the back door!) Wes was here immediately to handle the problem and came back a few days later to be sure they were gone. One call and he's here right away!! That is so rare these days!! I wouldn't use anyone else!!"
"Wes is awesome and super helpful. Quick to respond and great communication with all services!"
"Luke and Wes are great. Solid and trustworthy...and...they earnestly care about helping their customers rather than spray and pray. Wes came out today and explained they spray for seasonal pests and come out more regularly to cover your outdoor pest control needs. I really look forward to working more with Sipsey. Thanks guys!"
